Name: Brad J. Armbruster
Alter Ego: Sabre Jet (formerly Ace)
Race: Human
Faction: G.I. Joe, Earth Corps
Theme Song: TBD
Voiced by: Pat Fraley (tfregenerationone.weebly.com/uploads/6/3/4/4/63446209/ace.mp3)
Image/Appearance:
History: Sabre Jet would rather fly than do anything else. During high school, he worked after school and weekends to pay for flying lessons. Spent one year flying pipelines in Alaska and two years stunt flying for movies. Enlisted USAF at age 22. Duty most previous to G.I. Joe assignment - senior instructor USAF Fighter Weapons Squadron "The Aggressors" (pilot combat training school). Qualified Expert - F-5E, F-15, F-16, XP-14/F.
Sabre Jet has one minor character flaw - cutthroat pocker. A predilection for gambling would ordinarily disqualify an applicant for the G.I. Joe team, but in Armbruster's case, you can hardly call it gambling since he NEVER LOSES. That's why he gained the name Ace when he started on the G.I. Joe team.
However, Armbruster had one fateful mission that would change his life. While flying over Angkor Wat, Armbruster's squadron was attacked by the Inhumanoid, Sslither, who had recently been freed from a nearby temple by Blackthorne Shore.
Armbruster's jet crashed, but as every other time he piloted a jet, the odds were with him. He miraculously survived and was quickly hospitalized, where it was diagnosed that he would never walk again. Earth Corps aided in his recovery by supplying him with an exosuit that allowed him to overcome the disability. Now, he goes by the name Sabre Jet and is a reserve member for both G.I. Joe and Earth Corps.
Equipment: Helmet, Skystriker
The Skystriker Combat Jet is equipped with twin vertical stabilizers, variable scheduling - ramp air intake, E-81 Aero Vulcan Gatling Cannon, retractable nose gear/main gear, nose mounted pulse-Doppler radar, Portside E-41A1 Vulcan 50mm Cannon, non-reflective panel, 360 degrees visibility cockpit canopy, ejection seats, evaporative fuel line vents, main fluidic-coupling access panels, variable sweep wings, horizontal stabilizers, removable exhaust nozzles/afterburner, gull gray camouflage, high-strength Titanium/Boron epoxy composite skin, Site-5 Sidewinder Missiles, Site-3 Sparrow Missiles and Site-3Z Phoenix Missiles.
Powers: N/A
Skills: Fighter Pilot, Fixed Wing Pilot (Single and Multiple Engine), Intelligence Operations
Weaknesses: Mortal.
Trivia (optional):
-Both Ace from G.I. Joe and Sabre Jet have the same name, Brad J. Armbruster. So despite the different voice actors (Pat Fraley in G.I. Joe, Neil Ross in InHumanoids), it seems that they're both one and the same.
-He's 6'1" tall.
