History:
Alex: Alex is the son and first child of Margaret Power and James Power, an inventor who once made a device which (unbeknown to him) could destroy large parts of the universe. The alien race known as the Snarks came looking for the device and thus came into conflict with the Power kids, whom moments before had received amazing powers from Whitey, an alien who died trying to warn the Power family of the nearing danger of the Snarks. Alex was given the power of anti-gravity, which enabled him to make himself and other persons/objects weightless.
His younger siblings also gained super powers: Julie could fly, Jack could manipulate his body density and Katie could disintegrate matter and then fire energy balls. Alex adopted the code-name Gee (most likely as in G-force). Although they four of them now had amazing powers, they could not stop the Snarks from kidnapping their parents and taking them of into space for further study of the humans.
All seemed lost until the smart-ship (named Friday) of the now dead alien Whitey told the Power kids he could follow the Snarks and try helping them rescue their parents. The foursome went of to outer space, in hot pursuit of the Snarks. After an intense battle the Power Pack found their parents on the Snarks mother-ship, where able to save them and flee the forces of the Snarks. After-wards, Alex' parents didn't have any memory of the Snarks or their kidnapping. The four siblings decided to keep their powers a secret to their parents and the world, and thus Power Pack was born, world's youngest superhero team.
Power Pack soon established itself as a young superheroes team, with Alex being their unofficial leader. Mainly because he was the eldest. They had their own costumes and often teamed-up with other heroes, working with larger superhero teams, like the X-men and the Fantastic Four and they even became a trusted sight for the amazing Spider-man. Early in their careers, the team befriended Franklin Richards, who came looking for the team after he had precognitive dreams of Power Pack getting attacked by the Snark prince Jackal. These dreams turned out to be a reality when the team was in fact attacked by the Jackal. Power Pack, aided by Franklin, fought the Jackal in a lengthy battle and won. After this, the team accepted Franklin as a member of the team, codenamed Tattletale.
While Power Pack was doing battle on the Snark planet, the team went through their first 'power switch'. Team members could 'trade' their own power for one of their brother's or sister's. Alex gained Katie's old power, the disintegrating power. He could disintegrate objects and fire energy balls. Besides the fact that they could now change powers at will, the team also found out that they had a more then uncanny ability to heal faster then any normal human could. The next time the team switched powers, Alex got his original power back, but started calling himself Zero-G instead of Gee. Alex and his brother and sister's went on to battle many more menaces like the supernatural Bogeyman, but also more earthly subjects as drugs-dealers and robbers.
After many, many adventures the Power Pack team decided to take it more easy and start living their normal lives again. This worked out for most of the time, except when Alex briefly returned to the superhero life, aiding the New Warriors. Alex was recruited by both Bandit and Hindsight in order to help stop the Sphinx and rescue the time displaced Warriors. He borrowed all of the team's powers, making Alex stronger then ever and naming himself PowerPax. He initiated a power-transference from his siblings in order to be a greater help to the Warriors without the need to involve the rest of the Power Pack. Afterwards, he returned their abilities back to them and promised not to take them again, but was later forced to reclaim them again to aid in the Warriors' battle against the Soldiers of Misfortune. Eventually, Alex explained to Julie and Jack his reasons for taking the Pack's powers into himself, which angered his siblings, especially Jack. During Alex's tenure with the Warriors, he had encounters against Spidercide, a brief fight against Psionex (with then Night Thrasher and Rage on said team at the time), Protocol and the Soldiers of Misfortune, and both the Sphinx and Advent. Alex's final mission with the Warriors was when they fought the Dire Wraith, Queen Mother Volx, (who had already stolen the Torpedo suit from Mickey Musashi, Power Pack's Smartship Friday, and Rom's Neo-neutralizer). The team succeeded in destroying her plans (along with the Dire Wraith as well), but at the cost of nearly destroying Friday, Power Pack's old smart-ship and friend.
Soon after this peace returned to the Power's house. Alex was attending high school and started noticing the girls around him more and more. It looked like a time of peace for Alex, in which they could fight as the Power Pack team, but also enjoy their normal lives. To protect their identities Alex and his brother and sisters now whore masks whenever they appeared as Power Pack. The team had to return to their old alter-ego's again when the Snarks attacked their home. A battle was fought but the kids managed to defeat them once again and save the day.
Friday:
When a Kymellian called Aelfyre Whitemane gave Power Pack their powers, he also gave them Friday, a 'smartship' which is practically alive, makes its own decisions and has feelings.
Friday has many weapons, can adapt to any environment and can gain warp speed travel. Even though Friday could, in a way think for her self, she was still programmed to do what the Kymellians told her do. This changed after she crash landed and "died". Many attempts where made to repair her, but none of them worked. It was not until Power Pack came to see her that she healed. After that, she went with Power Pack to earth, deliberately disobeying the Kymellian's orders. It was, however, extremely useful when she came to Earth with the Pack as she was able to help them defeat the Snarks.
Equipment:
Powers: Zero-G: Gravitikinesis: Zero-G can negate the force of gravity on himself and on other living beings and objects through anti-gravitons. (Gravitons are subatomic particles which carry the force of gravitational attraction. Anti-gravitons are subatomic particles that are the counterparts to gravitons, but have an opposite charge.) Previously, in order to reduce the pull of gravity on an object or a living being other than himself, Zero-G needed to be in physical contact with that object or being.
Now, Alex can project a gravity distortion field that can increase or decrease gravity on an object that he is in close proximity to, but not necessarily in physical contact with. He has also learned to increase gravity in a specific direction on an object or person allowing himself and others to simulate controlled, directional flight.
When Zero-G uses his power small black rectangular marks often appear on his forearms and lower legs (or, if those portions of his body covered by clothing, on the parts of his clothing covering his forearms and lower legs) and sometimes on part of whatever object he is touching and using his power on.
More recently, a black distortion field surrounds any person or object affected by his powers. He now seems to hover and fly in any direction at will. The limits of the amount of mass on which Gee can successfully use his power are not yet known.
However, he has succeeded in negating the force of gravity on his father's matter/anti-matter converter, an enormous object weighing many tons, enough to carry it many stories above the Earth's surface.
Zero-G can control the extent to which he reduces the pull of gravity enough so that he can hover above the Earth's surface at the height he desires, and not simply keep on going upward into outer space. Apparently Gee can also increase the pull of gravity on himself through generating gravitons.
In his first clash with the Snarks, Zero-G thus successfully resisted the pull of a Snarl tractor beam that had a force equivalent to six times Earth's gravity. However, as yet Gee has seldom used this power to increase the pull of gravity, and it is unclear whether he can use this power to increase the force of gravity on living beings and objects he touches.
Presumably as Zero-G grows older the extent of his powers and his mastery of them will increase. In addition, the members of the Power Pack can heal themselves by sharing their life forces with one another.
As Zero-G, Alex had control over the increase/negation of gravity. This control was primarily centered on himself, but could extent to items or people he was in contact with, or that he could surround with a gravity distortion field. Previously, he had relied on his siblings to provide momentum in order to fly, and wore wings to propel himself along. But more recently, he displayed the ability to affect the gravity of objects he was not in contact with, and to increase the gravity on them in one direction. This resulted in the controlled flight of Alex and his sibling Katie, for example, without the two being in physical contact at anytime. As Destroyer, Alex had Katie's energy absorption/projection powers. As Mass Master, Alex had Jack's density power. As Powerhouse/Powerpax, Alex had all of his siblings' powers.
Friday: Friday has a limited ability to change shape. Mostly this is done to provide for the needs and comfort of passengers. Thus Friday can transform from a single compartment ship into a multiple compartment ship as needed. Friday is also able to travel through different environments including underwater. Friday has many weapons (lasers, anti air missiles, bombs, anti personnel bullets for when it merely seeks to stun foes, gas grenades, paralysis beams) can adapt to any environment and can gain warp speed travel.
Abilities: Alex picked up some combat training from his time in the New Warriors, he is also a skilled leader. Friday is knowledge about space, aliens and various fields of science.
Weaknesses: Alex's focus can leave him open to attack. Friday has to be careful not to overextend herself. She still needs to rely on the kids for some decisions, as she has not fully embraced autonomy.
Trivia:
Alex:
- He concedes the title of Powerhouse to Franklin. He admits he kinda fits it better.
- Alex is 20.
- He kind of has a thing for Lisa Parker.
Friday:
- She is very sarcastic, Jack often falls prey to this due to his temper.
- Apparently HERBIE of the Fantastic Four has a thing for her.
- She is not a fan of Starlord, who seems jealous of her design.
