Okay, so I decided to post this before I go to class, which starts in a few minutes, but I went to see Captain Marvel with my girlfriend. Honestly, I enjoyed it. For me, this is tied with Into the Spider-Verse as the best modern superhero movie. I really enjoyed Brie Larson's performance as Carol Danvers. She brings a lot of humanity and likeability to the role while also having a wicked sense of humor at times. Plus, one of the many factors (and boy there are many) that make me like a superhero actor or actress more than others is the way they smile. When a superhero smiles, I always felt that it should be a smile that looks warm, kind, yet with a bit of playfulness. That's what I always liked about George Reeves' Superman, Nicholas Hammond's Spider-Man, Bill Bixby's Banner, and Brie does have that kind of smile that makes you like her immediately. The use of the Skrulls here really surprised me. Not gonna tell what happened, but I really liked what they did with them here. Talos in particular is really well developed. Although I'm more attached to Caucasian Nick Fury, Black Fury was pretty nicely handled here. He was the source of comedy relief and excelled at that. Though I'm still kinda bummed about Fury not being the classic version, I thought he was pretty enjoyable. So yeah, I just wanted to give some general thoughts without spoiling anything, 'cause if I keep talking I might spoil everything. So in the end, all I can say is good movie, but it made my girlfriend jealous 'cause I was really looking at Carol a bit too much.

*smiles heroically but it looks so horrible that everyone runs away*
What a per bert.
I don't think I have much interest in it, but if it ever goes up on Netflix maybe I'll check it out (had the same thoughts about most other MCU movies nowadays, Black Panther comes to mind and even though I was interested in GOTG2 I still watched it on Netflix anyways cuz I was working on the dub of Fatal Fury when my friends saw it at the theater.)

LOL. Yeah, well, I dunno if I'll be able to watch any of the other flicks at the cinema due to time, but I really wanted to see this one, so I managed to fit it into my schedule. Maybe I'll do the same with the next Spidey flick, but Iunno.

Understandable, I rarely see movies at the theater anymore, and when I do it's only like, once a year. (This year I watched the new Broly movie just before my birthday.)

Well, the thing is that there is a lot to do, and to go to the theater, you have to reorganize your whole schedule, so it can be a pain. We boiz don't harb much time.
